Few industries owe more to their pioneers than cannabis. Everyone in the industry today stands on the shoulders of those who persevered in the midst of hostile politicians, misguided policies, intentionally induced stigmas, and self-serving organizations that have worked to suppress cannabis. Such confrontations often came at great personal and professional cost to them. But their battle continued because they believed in the healing power of cannabis, as well as in maintaining our civil liberties.
